Join us on Wednesday, July 22, 2026, from 9:00 AM–3:00 PM in Choctaw, Mississippi, for a FREE, hands-on training designed to help Nutrition Professionals bring more local foods into their cafeterias and meal programs.
The Mississippi Farm to School Network is proud to co-host this training event with the Institute of Child Nutrition and the Mississippi Band of Choctaw Indians Department of Early Childhood.
During this 6-hour professional development training, participants will learn how to:
Source seasonal, locally grown foods
Safely prepare, process, and store fresh local produce
Incorporate local foods into school and child nutrition menus
Strengthen Farm to School and Farm to ECE programs
Connect and share ideas with fellow Mississippi Nutrition Professionals
Registration is free, but space is limited to 40 participants. All attendees will receive a certificate documenting six hours of professional development upon completion.
