Your ideas and experiences will help shape the Mississippi Farm to ECE Specialization Badge, a recognition program for licensed ECE programs carrying out outstanding Farm to ECE programming.

Why Attend?

  • Learn about the Farm to ECE Specialization Badge and applicant criteria.

  • Share your feedback to make this a strong, community-led, student-centered recognition program.

  • Earn a certificate for one contact hour just for attending.

What is a Specialization Badge?

Specialization Badges are part of a statewide recognition program developed by the Division of Early Childhood Care & Development (DECCD), led by the Mississippi Department of Human Services (MDHS).

  • Reserved for ECE programs licensed by the Mississippi Department of Health (MSDH) whose activities meet or exceed best practices.

  • Requires prior achievement of the Educational Interaction Badge and any eligible Fundamentals Badges.

  • Highlights your program publicly and can attract new families while retaining current ones whose learning goals for their children align with an ECE’s programming.

  • Functions as both internal assessments and external recognition tools.

The Farm to ECE Specialization Badge is one of several specialization badges offered through DECCD and was developed in partnership with the Mississippi Farm to ECE Coalition, led by the Mississippi Farm to School Network.
