What is a Recognition Program?
The recognition program is developed by the Division of Early Childhood Care & Development (DECCD), led by the Mississippi Department of Human Services (MDHS).
Reserved for ECE programs licensed by the Mississippi Department of Health (MSDH) whose activities meet or exceed best practices.
Requires achievement of the Educational Interaction Badge and any eligible Fundamentals Badges.
Highlights your program publicly and can attract new families while retaining current ones whose learning goals for their children align with an ECE’s programming.
Functions as both internal assessments and external recognition tools.
The Farm to ECE Recognition Program is one of several recognition programs offered through DECCD and was developed in partnership with the Mississippi Farm to ECE Coalition, led by the Mississippi Farm to School Network.
