Growing School Gardens and Healthy Habits Across Mississippi
We were excited to join Good Things with Rebecca Turner on SuperTalk Mississippi to share how the Mississippi Farm to School Network is connecting farmers, schools, and students to build a healthier, more resilient future.
We connect schools and early childhood centers with Mississippi farmers, teach kids how to grow and enjoy food from their own school gardens, and empower students through our Youth Leadership Program. Everything we do is rooted in community, driven by equity, and made possible through strong partnerships.
This past school year, we donated 200 raised garden beds to 70 schools and early childhood centers across Mississippi, reaching more than 6,500 students. Now, we’re working to deliver the next 169 raised garden beds, but we need your help to fund the soil, seeds, and supplies that bring these gardens to life.
The students are ready. The raised beds are ready. Help us fill them with soil, seeds, and supplies to inspire students across Mississippi to grow with confidence!
